Double-Fatal Crash: Teen, 20-Year-Old ID'd As Victims After Car Hits Tree In Glastonbury

A 20-year-old Connecticut man and his 16-year-old passenger were killed after they crashed into a tree.

The crash took place in Hartford County around 1:50 a.m., on Sunday, July 16 in Glastonbury.

According to Lt. Anthony Pagliughi, of the Glastonbury Police, officers responded to the 1100 block of Manchester Road for a report of a crash involving a car into a tree.

When officers arrived, they found the driver identified as Hartford County resident Yiriel Cintron, age 20, of Marlborough, and his passenger, New London County resident Brandon Amiot, age 16, of Lebanon, both dead from their injuries.

A preliminary investigation revealed the vehicle had been traveling northbound on Manchester Road when it left the roadway and struck a tree, Pagliughi said. 

The Glastonbury Police Traffic Unit and Metro Traffic Services regional accident reconstruction team are investigating.
